What's Included
Each order includes healthy, farm-grown dahlia tubers of your selected variety, with at least one viable growth eye per tuber.
Tubers are living plant material and naturally vary in size, shape and appearance. The number of tubers supplied depends on the individual product or package quantity selected.
All tubers are grown and harvested at The Little Farm That Could in Campbellford, Ontario.
Planting & Growing
Dahlias thrive in full sun, with at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily and fertile, well-drained soil.
Plant tubers approximately 4–6 inches deep, with the growing eye facing upward, after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. In Southern Ontario, this is typically late May to early June.
Avoid excessive watering until new growth appears. Taller varieties may benefit from staking or other support.

Shipping & Ordering
Our 2027 dahlia tuber orders are scheduled to begin shipping in mid-April, weather permitting.
To protect your tubers from freezing temperatures, shipping dates will depend on suitable weather conditions. Exact delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
Dahlia varieties are available in limited quantities, and individual orders cannot be combined after purchase.
Overwintering Your Dahlias
Dahlias are not winter-hardy in Ontario and must be protected from freezing temperatures.
After the first frost, carefully lift your tubers, allow them to dry and store them in a cool, frost-free location until the following spring.
With proper care and storage, dahlia tubers can be replanted year after year.
